New limit on size of the universe



If the universe is finite and if it also gives the illusion of being infinite, then, according to Physics News Update and Nature, Cornish, Spergel, Starkman & Komatsu have established a new lower bound on its size of 24 billion parsecs or 75 billion light years. (I previously posted a schematic that illustrates the concept of a finite universe appearing infinite.)
